If you fly often, you no doubt know the hassle that can sometimes occur at the airport. Long lines, canceled flights, congestion, frustration, I mean we've all been there, it happens, especially if you are running a little behind for your flight. We typically don't run into this kind of thing too much at Midland International but in bigger cities, airports 3 times as big as ours, it can be a nightmare!

Why is this a big deal and what is TSA Precheck?

TSA PreCheck provides expedited security screening benefits for flights departing from U.S. Airports.

Basically, TSA PreCheck can save you time going through airport security. It can enhance your travel experience greatly and is a great thing to have! We have it and our only regret is not getting it sooner.

The application fee is $78 and lasts for five years. Well worth it in my opinion if you fly often.

So this is the best part and the entire purpose of this article. TSA PreCheck events do not happen in Midland-Odessa. We had to travel to Hobbs to get ours. There were 2 scheduled for this year and quickly the 1st one filled up. But don't fret there will be another at Midland International Air & Space Port in September.
