FCC Adopts New Compensation Plan for IP Relay

On June 30, 2022, the FCC released a Report and Order modifying the compensation plan for the provision of Internet Protocol Relay Service (IP Relay), a form of Telecommunications Relay Service (TRS). The Order adopts a four-year plan that begins on July 1, 2022, and sets the base compensation level at $1.9546 per minute, with annual adjustments for inflation and certain costs.
